Checking both stations…
Every minute, each station checks the other’s public health endpoint from the other side of the Atlantic, and its own the same way. If one goes dark, the other still says so. This is the same watch you’d register: I watch my own house with it.
Outages
Every time a station failed a check and came back, from either station’s ledger.
How it’s measured. An HTTP GET of https://api.ned.watch/health and https://api-eu.ned.watch/health every 60 seconds, from both stations, over the public internet. A check is down when it doesn’t answer 2xx in time. Uptime is checks up divided by checks. A deploy restart can show up as a minute down; that’s the honest record, so it stays.
